The Chase quiz expert Paul Sinha felt he met his match on Monday's episode, as brainy grandmother Marilyn appeared in the ITV studios.
Nervous about taking on the cash builder round, Marilyn confessed her grandchildren felt she knew "everything," but she wasn't so sure herself.
With her doting grandkids watching from home, Marilyn built up a whopping £7,000 in the cash builder, answering one question correctly after another.
She expected to have earned a humble £5,000, only for Bradley Walsh to happily inform her she had performed brilliantly.
As Marilyn turned to take on the Chaser, Paul made it clear he was impressed by her general knowledge, suggesting she "knew everything".
He exclaimed: "Good news is your grandkids are spot on! Granny does know everything."
Blushing, Marilyn quickly mumbled the words "not everything," as Paul went on to put a few offers on the table.
Even though a hefty £35,000 was placed as the high offer, Marilyn instead plumped for the middle offer of £7,000.
After a tense play-off, Marilyn made it through to the final with her money in her pocket, joining fellow contestant Mark.
Paul was quick to predict good things from the final round, saying: "It has been an excellent game, and I don't normally say this about teams of two, but I think you start as marginal favourites."
Unfortunately, the pressure of the final round got to the talented duo, as the clock ran out with just 16 correct answers between them.
Seeming a little disappointed, Paul remarked: "I said you were slight favourites before, you’re not favourites anymore."
Proving himself correct, Paul went on to beat the duo with plenty of time to spare, sending them home with zero pounds in their prize pots.
Praising their performances as a consolation prize, he remarked: "You’re very good at quizzes, so well done you.
"There was about four you needed to get me under pressure. Well played."
The Chase airs on weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
