Coronation Street 's filming was disrupted after an unnamed actor tested positive for coronavirus last week.
The soap has reportedly temporarily shut down parts of the set to thoroughly clean areas of the building where the actor had been.
According to The Guardian, no other members of staff came within two metres of the actor, but all crew and cast have been notified, and filming as a whole was not affected.
The actor in question is now self-isolating as filming resumed on Monday September 14.
A spokeswoman for the soap told Daily Star Online: "We can confirm a member of the Coronation Street team has tested positive for coronavirus.
"The protocols we have in place for such an eventuality have been implemented and the individual is now self isolating at home.
"Although we do not believe anyone has been within 2m of the individual, as a precaution, the production team who were working with the individual have been notified.
"In keeping with health and safety guidance, we have also undertaken an intensive clean of touch points in the cohort area where the individual was working and areas of the building they visited.
"We believe the situation has been contained and filming continued on Monday."
The publication also claims that due to the measures filming was only disrupted last week, and production returned back to normal by Monday.
Fans know that the stars have been following strict social distancing guidelines on set since filming started back up again.
The soap has only just returned to airing six episodes a week after cutting back to just three back in March, as the social distancing guidelines forced a re-think for a number of storylines.
Despite fears that the soap may be forced to come off air for the second time in history, it managed to continue on rationed episodes, along with Emmerdale.
After filming managed to resume, the soap has implemented coronavirus into a number of storylines, and has shown the actors wearing face masks and displaying social distancing.
Soap boss Iain MacLeod has also confirmed that the forthcoming 60th anniversary storylines will be affected by the pandemic, as producers have taken into account all safety measures.
Contingency plans have also been devised for Christmas, should another lockdown affect filming again.
Corrie continues on Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV.
