Coronation Street viewers can expect more relationship drama as Peter Barlow and Carla Connor could be about to "split up".
Their relationship will be put to the test in upcoming episodes as former alcoholic Peter hits the booze again as his past demons return.

When he returns home, Carla's horrified about the brutal attack and tells him how much she loves him.

In other scenes, Carla hopes Peter will join her in a hotel she has booked for a conference, but he declines.
Abi confronts Peter in the Rovers' back yard and reveals how Barry let slip that he's back on the booze.
Peter assures her it was a one off and refuses to discuss it any further. As Carla heads for the Rovers, Abi warns her that Peter needs help.
Carla drags the truth out of Peter, begging him to get some help.
In more dramatic scenes, Johnny and Jenny find Peter in the bar, barely conscious.
A concerned Sarah sees Johnny and Jenny taking a drunk Peter to hospital, and tells Carla when she arrives at the factory.
Peter wakes to find Carla at his hospital bedside, and tells her he loves her with all his heart.
