Coronation Street's Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) looks set to reach her breaking point after being abused by her husband Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) for months.
Coronation Street spoilers have hinted that Geoff has abused women before, as Yasmeen's friends and family start to become suspicious about what is happening behind closed doors.
Fans have taken to social media to predict that Yasmeen will realise that she can only escape the controlling relationship if she kills her husband.
They wrote: "I suspect the Geoff and Yasmeen story in leading up to a court case following her harming or even possibly killing him.
"He is already suggesting she hits out at him and is a drunk, how will she prove she to everyone & the authorise she is the victim and has been subject to mental abuse for many months."
A second said: "Hopefully she kills him either on BGT week or 60th anniversary."
Another added: "I suspect this story may have been inspired by the Sally Challen case so I can’t help wondering that too!"
Other fans have been left sure that Geoff will be sent to prison for his abusive actions over his wife, as viewers are desperate for the character to finally see justice.
One fan wrote on social media: "Prison is where he belongs."
Another added: "No he goes to prison. Tim finds the video and then it all comes out."
A third chipped in: "He needs to go to prison, it would make a refreshing change for someone in corrie to actually be banged up for the crime/crimes they commited, instead of the innocent being wrongly accused/convicted and the guilty getting off scott free or killed off."
A fourth agreed: "Put him in prison, maybe he'll get a taste of his own medicine."
Could Geoff be sent to prison as the truth is finally revealed?
Or will it be Yasmeen who ends up doing time after murdering her husband?
Corrie continues on Monday at 7.30pm on ITV.
