Dancing on Ice has been gracing our screens for well over a decade, with the first show airing exactly 15 years ago today.

In celebration of the ITV show's anniversary, Daily Star is taking fans on a walk down memory lane, resurfacing some of the most jaw-dropping moments the competition has ever seen.

When it comes to bust-ups, the skating show has certainly seen its fair share over the years, with many heated moments causing quite a stir, especially surrounding former judge Jason Gardiner and his extremely loose tongue.

It wasn't just certain feuds that became a talking point, but the terrifying accidents that also came hand-in-hand with braving the ice.

From the infamous "you look like a walrus on ice" remark to ice skating partnership breakdowns and bloodbath accidents, we've got it all.

Jennifer Ellison showcased such flexibility when trying to execute one of the show's more ambitious moves, the scorpion kick, that she sliced her head open with her own bladed boot.

The former Page 3 model's honey blonde locks turned blood-red and she was taken off stage for emergency assistance.

It sadly wasn't the end of the Brookside star's bad luck and she later needed stitches after clipping her leg again with her own ice skate.

Nobody could forget the moment Todd Carty, better known as Mark Fowler on EastEnders, skated off set and into the tunnel during his first live performance in 2009.

It certainly provided the comedy gold element as the staged blunder unfolded and the soap star couldn't prevent himself from stopping - ending up navigating away from the view of the camera.

Later, it was discovered that the move had actually been written into the performance while it seemed quite hilarious and shocking at the time, Todd proved what an absolute professional he was.

Last year, Caprice and pro Hamish hit the headlines after becoming the first skating duo to ever go their separate ways.

The discovery that the pair were having issues behind closed doors arose after Caprice confirmed on Twitter that she would be partnered with Oscar and not Hamish on the next show.

At the time, a source told The Sun: "Caprice's relationship with Hamish was harmonious at the start but as time went on they became more strained.

"She felt he was pushing her too hard in training and Caprice started to struggle. She felt he could have been more patient and they ended up having a big row."

With the relationship damaged beyond repair and completely "unworkable" they consulted with bosses and called it quits, with Caprice announcing soon after that she was leaving the show early.

Judge Jason Gardiner couldn't quite hold his tongue as he lunged into nasty criticism after the GC had performed Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend.

Igniting their feud, he described the TOWIE stars rendition as more "Anna Nicole Smith" than Marilyn Monroe.

Gemma clearly wasn't standing for his nonsense and fired back that he'd been "selling stories" about her.

She said: "Maybe if you didn't sell stories on me, maybe I wouldn't have been so upset this week," before cutting off Jason with: "Boring... Next!"

Their ongoing battle seemed to escalate off of the ice too, with the TV panellist likening the reality star to a brand of "refrigerator".

The Diva Forever star had the last laugh though on Good Morning Britain, when she responded to news of Jason's departure with an almighty "Hallelujah."

The clash of the titans began for Megan and Vanessa after the Love Island star had accused the professional skater of coincidentally breaking up with her own boyfriend just before the live shows.

Megan who was dating Wes Nelson, who had been partnered with the stunning German-born skater, could no longer hide her annoyance and took to social media to spill her thoughts.

The former stripper wrote, "@vanessabauer_skates love that you decide to announce your breakup with your boyfriend on the night of your 1st performance with my boyfriend!"

She continued, "You've never reached out to me once or invited me to watch you train, it pained you to introduce yourself to me last night you didn't even look me in the eye LOL hope the tactical breakup got you the headlines you wanted babe @wes.nelson."

In an interview with Loose Women, Megan issued an apology for her outburst and explained that the green eyed monster had got the better of her but sadly that wasn't enough to save her romance with Wes and the pair parted ways soon after.

One scathing comment left a bad taste after bad mouthed judge Jason Gardiner took aim at former TOWIE star Lauren Goodger.

Mark Wright's ex had continuously told viewers on the show that she had been lacking confidence and Jason certainly wasn't the right person to give her the uplifting support that she needed.

As she skated across to the judges podium for her performance to be reviewed, she was utterly flabbergasted at the venomous comment she was greeted with.

Finishing up critiquing her rendition, Jason took aim labelling Lauren as "a Walrus on ice".

He said: "There was no connection, no heart. There was no sensuality... it had the sensuality of a walrus on ice.

"This was a beautiful piece and you could have made a lot more with it. Very disappointing."

Lauren took the comments on the chin, but viewers were left stunned by Jason's brutal remarks.
