EastEnders is set to return to screens next week, with bosses promising explosive storylines that are sure to grip the nation once more.
With the return of the nation's favourite soap comes the return of vindictive characters.
Three-months after EastEnders was pulled off the air after running out of episodes, Ian is found feeling more optimistic about his future in the Queen Vic.
Viewers last saw Ian and best friend Sharon stood at the bar of the iconic East End pub, after going into business together.
The investigation into the devastating boat crash on the Thames has also concluded.
Now, Sharon will finally discover the painful way in which her son, Denny [Bleu Landau] died.
After seeing the bust of Queen Victoria on the bar, memories from the heartbreaking night come flooding back as she asks Ian whether any of Denny's possessions were returned.
However, the day of the return of the Queen's bust is also the day after Dotty's court hearing after Ian orchestrated her arrest for possession of nos gas in the club.
Dotty goes on to reach an agreement with Ian - in order for him to change his statement, she will remain silent about Denny's death.
But in true Dotty style, she is unable to hold her silence after Ian goes against his promise.
After storming through the doors of the famous boozer, Dotty announces to a heartbroken Sharon that her best friend and business partner is the reason her son is dead.
Desperately trying to defend himself, Ian is left speechless by the groundbreaking revelation.
It's currently unclear as to who Sharon will believe after Dotty dropped the biggest bombshell.
It was recently revealed that episodes of EastEnders had been cut to 20 minutes when it returns this week.
The Beeb will broadcast four episodes a week.
EastEnders will air new episodes from Monday, September 7 on BBC One at 8.05pm
