Emmerdale viewers are set to see a fresh heartache for Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) and Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) next week.

He decided to take the blame for Moira Dingle's (Natalie J Robb) recent hit and run to get the heat off Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper), who also had nothing to do with it.

But after handing himself in recently, new Emmerdale spoilers reveal that Nate will reveal just how long he could be locked up in prison – and it's not looking good.

Next week, Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) goes with pregnant Tracy to her baby scan appointment.

Tracy opens up to Lydia about how she fears Nate will be sent down for the crime, even though he didn't do it.

Later on, Nate and Tracy look at the envelope containing their baby's gender.

But they decide to save the exciting moment and hold a gender reveal party to celebrate instead.

When Tracy heads off upstairs, Nate reveals to Lydia that he could be looking at two or three years in prison rather than six months.

Lydia is shocked and urges him to tell Tracy – but will he?

And how will the expectant mother react if she finds out Nate could be away for their baby's early years.

Nate decided to take the wrap for Belle after her evil ex Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) pinned the blame on her for the hit and run, despite it being him who was behind the wheel of the car that mowed Moira down.

Since then, Belle has been struggling with her mental health, hearing the voice of her dead mother Lisa.

She has been telling her to do bad things, and viewers saw her bury the teapot containing Lisa's ashes, swearing that the voices had stopped.

However Belle is secretly still suffering with the voices and has admitted she finds it comforting having Lisa speak to her.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm, with an extra at 8pm on Thursdays, on ITV
