Hollyoaks villain Silas Blissett (Jeff Rowle) offers his arch enemy Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) a proposition with a major catch in Wednesday night's first-look episode.

Daily Star has been given a sneak peek at the dramatic showdown between the rivals where Silas gives Mercedes a deadly ultimatum.

Fans of the Channel 4 soap witnessed the pair come face-to-face in tense scenes during Tuesday's episode and the drama is set to continue this evening.

In the short teaser clip, Silas says: "I'd love to offer you a choice."

"A choice?", a confused Mercedes asks.

"There are two doors. Behind one Bobby comes with me and I see out my days raising the last of my line."

The feisty Dog landlady screams: "No, over my dead body."

Silas sinisterly replies: "Which brings me rather neatly to option number two."

He adds: "You'll like this. It's awfully touching."

"Just get to the point," Mercedes yells at the evil man.

The village serial killer continues: "Choose door number two, and Bobby stays to be raised at the bosom of your repellent family. But on one condition."

Mercedes is forced to make a huge decision tonight

Mercedes has been desperately searching for Silas ever since their previous confrontation resulted in a tragic accident.

She lost her and husband Sylver's (David Tag) unborn baby after suffering a horror fall last month.

Meanwhile, Silas has been plotting to kidnap Mercedes son Bobby in an effort to get the ultimate revenge.

The evil character had one more game left to play with the McQueens, leaving Mercedes panicked when Sylver returned from the airport without her young son.

Mercedes tried to call Bobby's phone and when Silas answered, he told her to meet him at the Folly and they finally came face-to-face.

Hollyoaks spoilers have seemingly confirmed that the dramatic ultimatum is a choice between living and dying.

Will Silas finally silence Mercedes for good or will someone save the brunette bombshell before it's too late?

Hollyoaks continues on Channel 4 tonight at 6.30pm followed by a first look episode on E4 at 7pm
