I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! hopeful Beverley Callard has been one of the UK's most recognisable telly stars since 1989.

The actress burst onto Coronation Street playing loudmouth landlady Liz McDonald - often being seen behind the bar of the famous Rovers Returns pub on the cobbled street.

But despite being a household name, Beverley, 63, isn't the only celebrity in the family as her daughter went on to have a glittering career.

Rebecca, 45, is the daughter of Beverley and first husband Paul Atkinson, after the pair married in 1974 aged just 17. They parted ways in 1977.

The actress took the surname of her mum's second husband, David Snowden, but eventually changed it following Beverley's marriage to Steve Callard in 1989.

Rebecca, who boasts a glittering television and film career, is perhaps best known for her role as Arrietty Clock in the hit film The Borrowers.

However, she is also recognised for a stint in Coronation Street alongside her mum.

Rebecca starred on Coronation Street as jailbird Ruth Walsh

The Leeds-born actress made her first appearance on the hit ITV soap back in 2011, playing jail lag Ruth Walsh.

Her character painfully tormented Underworld factory worker Fiz Brown, who had been sentenced to two years after being convinced of the murder of Colin Fishwick - a crime she was later cleared of.

The pair came to blows after Fiz discovered that Ruth had been using her young baby to smuggle drugs into the prison.

Rebecca's last appearance playing Ruth came on September 5, 2011.

Speaking about her character, she once said: "The great thing for me was that I usually never play baddies.

"So getting to do that was amazing. I remember when I was going for it asking my agent if they were sure because I don't get to play really scary characters like that.

"It was nice to do something totally different, I usually play vulnerable characters with lots of grieving and crying."

Since then, Rebecca has gone on to star alongside Michelle Keegan in BBC One's Ordinary Lies as well as Kate Morris in The Grand.

While growing up in Leeds, she attended school and became pals with Spice Girls songstress Melanie Brown and actress Angela Griffin.

Melanie and Rebecca remain close pals to this day after they first met at a dance class during their toddler years.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! airs daily at 9.15pm on ITV.
