The massive bombshell landed as quite a surprise, with the dynamic duo seemingly backed into a corner to deliver an answer during their appearance on This Morning.
Taking to the sofa, alongside TV favourites Holly Willoughby, 39, and Phillip Schofield, 58, the conversation quickly sprung from old history, such as Byker Grove and Saturday morning TV, to the Big Cat Rescue founder herself.
With the rumour mill running into overdrive, as to who will feature on this years North Wales jungle extravaganza, one name seemingly keeps cropping up.
Like many other reality shows, I'm A Celeb has come up against a few setbacks amid the Covid-19 outbreak.
As a result of the on-going pandemic, ordinary plans to host the show down-under in the Australian outback were halted.
This therefore meant that producers had to scramble to find a new location for the show in the UK, with filming now commencing at Gwyrch Castle in Abergale, North Wales.
Touching on the subject of their new residency, as opposed to the warmer climates they are used to, Dec joked: "We're very much looking forward to it, but it's going to be freezing."
With attention now firmly on the show, Holly wanted to quickly iron-out speculation for the suspected line-up.
Wasting no time at all, she lunged into discussion about certain cast members, putting the Geordie double act under the spotlight for an answer.
The daytime TV host prompted: "All I'm saying is Carole Baskin?"
As the the animal rights activist's name rolled off of Holly's tongue, Ant and Dec appeared shifty and uneasy.
Not wanting to let the cat out of the bag, the twosome were incredibly coy with their choice of words but hinted that Holly's wishes could come true.
Smoothing over the detail, Ant explained: "We can't comment on the bookings but the rumours are there."
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am.
