The pair of former EastEnders actors were forced to take part in a stomach-churning eating trial, swallowing a chicken-foot smoothie before the cameras.
Jessica, 28, was brave enough to take the plunge first, gagging as she tried to swallow the meaty liquid in one gulp.
In a gesture of friendship, Shane offered to hold her hand as she endured the challenge – but wasn't anticipating just how strong her grip would be.
When Jessica spat the liquid back out, Shane started shouting, as her grip started to crush his poor hand.
He yelped: "Jess, I can't feel my thumb! I can't feel my thumb!"
Despite Shane's pleas, Jessica seemed more preoccupied with trying to keep the liquid down, as the chicken drink left her gagging.
The pair were nominated for the task at the end of Tuesday's episode, with the public voting to see the soap stars brave a grisly challenge.
Named Sickening Stalls, Ant and Dec welcomed the pair to the challenge in the show's teaser, visibly grimacing over the task ahead.
Confirming the contents of the murky glass, Ant and Dec said: "This is an avoca-toe smoothie. Any idea? Blended chickens’ feet."
Jessica looked terrified as she looked over to the beaker of smoothie, saying: "The cups are getting bigger and bigger and bigger."
Shane thought offering his hand could make the experience less traumatic, as he said: "Do you want me to hold your hand? Ok, come on. "
Braving the challenge, Jessica picked up the glass and outlined her plan, saying: "Don’t smell it, drink it really really quickly, and my water’s on the side."
This isn't Shane's first trial – last night, the former Alfie Moon star was left squealing when he was joined by 200 spiders as he tried to track down stars for the camp.
I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
