Kate Garraway has revealed her sadness over not being able to see husband Derek Draper due to lockdown.
The 53-year-old ITV presenter was back on Good Morning Britain on Thursday as after her Christmas break.
After revealing she was able to visit Derek in hospital over the festive period, she revealed she can't now due to England's new nationwide lockdown.
Kate said: "Instantly, now I'm in a position where even I can't visit, so I've not been able to see him."
She continued: "Yeah, we're into lockdown, no visits at all, which I hope doesn't continue for the whole of lockdown because I think that will be very impactful."
Derek was rushed to hospital in March 2020 after contracting a serious strain of coronavirus.
He has been in hospital recovery every since, but Kate has revealed she was able to see him over the festive period.
When Ben Shephard asked how her Christmas was, the presenter explained: "Well it was tough, wasn't it. It was tough for everybody."
She continued: "There was a lovely moment which we did have...we did over the period get to see Derek, and the children did so the was amazing.
"Of course, it was very heightened with emotion, because he's very changed."
"All the routines that we would normally do, it was one of those moments where it was so wonderful, but then it also amplified how sad everything was, does that make sense?", Kate added.
Ben said: "And how different it suddenly is."
"And how different it is yeah", Kate agreed.
"But it was still fantastic and very grateful to have had that opportunity."
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
