Loose Women star Brenda Edwards was in tears on the ITV show today.
The panellist bravely opened up about her experience with domestic abuse on the show today.
Brenda spoke about her own story after EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith came on the show.
His appearance came as Gray will be seen killing Chantelle in the BBC soap tonight.
Talking of her own experience, Brenda said: "By the first punch... I loved him and I was in love with him.
"The second punch, the third time, the fourth time - there were so many times."
She continued: "I found myself asking 'What have I done to deserve this?'
"I found myself talking to myself asking 'What are you doing?
"There was an instance when I some apple pies, you know you get a selection of six, one of them was missing.
"He can home and he freaked out and that was when he started strangling me."
"It was the strangling that made me say 'I've got to get out of this'.
Brenda said despite wanting to get out of the relationship, she didn't know how to.
She added: "I hadn't spoke to any of my family.
"I thought if I speak to my family they're going to get involved, then this could turn even uglier, then I'll be blaming myself for something else."
After speaking out about the horrific abuse Brenda ended up in tears as her fellow Loose Women stars commended her bravery.
She said she used to think crying was a sign of weakness, however said now she knew it wasn't.
