This Morning descended into chaos earlier today as a Spin to Win champion hung up on hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

The ITV gameshow is famous for its blunders, and today’s episode was no exception as one caller suffered technical issues.

Spinning the golden wheel, Holly and Phil dialled up caller Marion, only for her to declare the right answer to the Spin to Win question.

Marion uttered the correct passphrase, only for her line to suddenly "beep" and cut out.

Phil and Holly looked panicked, as he exclaimed: "This is a first."

Holly added: "Where did she go?"

Turning to the camera, Holly urged ITV bosses to ring Marion back, asking: "Marion, can you hear us?"

Thankfully, the duo managed to get Marion back on the line, as Phil yelled at her to "turn down her television" to help improve the quality of the call.

Phil remarked that Marion's hang-up was a "first" for This Morning

The grandmother admitted she wasn't particularly tech savvy, and had suffered the accidental hang-up while babysitting her nine-year-old grandson.

After a rocky start, Marion spun the coveted wheel and won a whopping £1,000 – much to Phil and Holly's delight.

Meanwhile, over on Twitter, viewers were in stitches over the technical gaffe, as they took to their keyboards to weigh in on the conversation.

One said: “Wow Marion hung up. That's a first why does this game always go so wrong in so many ways. That's why I love it so much #ThisMorning.”

A second added: “An actual caller who says the correct password and then gets cut off.”

And a third chimed: “She hung up lol.”

“They seem to find different ways to make spin to win chaotic,” exclaimed a fourth.

This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV.
