A Place in the Sun’s Ben Hill was stunned when a house hunter immediately asked to leave a property – just moments after stepping foot inside.
Ben had been tasked to find Joy and John their dream home on Spain’s Costa del Sol on a recent episode.
With a budget of £125,000 and wanting to find at least a two-bedroom property, the presenter decided to take the couple to Fuengirola where he was convinced he’d found a gem.
But the reaction wasn’t quite what he anticipated.
As the trio stepped inside, the house hunters took no time at all in shutting down his option.
“Can we go?” Joy asked within seconds of viewing the interior.
Clearly shocked, Ben replies: “Oh my goodness, that was instantaneous. What’s happening? Talk me through it.”
“I don’t like it,” the house hunter responds.
“I know with our budget we’re not going to get a mansion or a palace but there is no outside space.
“It is bright but there is no balcony.”
Joy did agree to see the rest of the apartment but it quickly went from bad to worse.
She was horrified by the “hideous” kitchen, which had an orange color scheme.
Ben took the couple on a further four viewings in the region but to no avail.
They eventually decided they didn’t want to purchase any of the properties and instead returned to the UK with a better mindset of what they wanted.
It comes after another of the show’s presenters, Jasmine Harman, revealed how a house hunter secretly dumped his wife and asked producers for a date after their house viewings didn’t quite go to plan.
A Place in the Sun airs weekdays at 3pm on Channel 4.
