A Place in The Sun's Jean Johansson recalled an awkward moment which saw a man refuse to get out of the car to view a property.
The presenter, who has hosted the popular programme for two years, revealed that things don't always go to plan on the property show.
Ahead of the Channel 4 show heading to prime time on Sundays for its 21st birthday, Jean opened up about the embarrassing ordeal that took place in Malaga.
Jean was attempting to find couple Jonathan and Stephen their dream property within their £250,000 budget.
However, things took an unexpected turn when Stephen refused to leave the car.
Chatting to Metro.co.uk about the horrifying moment, Jean explained: "I had a couple who I became friends with, Stephen and Jonathan, and we did a show that was in Malaga.
"This didn't go on camera, but Stephen refused to get out of the car because he didn’t like the neighbourhood.
"It took me forever just to coax him out of the car because he had made up his mind that he would never live in that neighbourhood, so there would be no point in seeing the property.
Jean added that she had to "stand her ground", and after 30 minutes, she finally convinced Stephen to take a look at the potential dream home.
She explained to the publication: "I really had to stand my ground.
"I said to him "You know, come in you could love the property and you could learn to love the neighbourhood, you can’t judge it from sitting in the car".
"In the end, he did get out of the car but then, of course, he didn't like it as he had already made up his mind."
Despite things occasionally not going to plan, Jean explained that's what makes the television show so great to watch.
She said: "Everyone remembers the couples, I have had people come up to me and go "Remember so and so?"
"They remember those moments because they're real and we could edit out the moments when couples go in and say "I hate this", but we leave that in.
"I love that about the show because it’s authentic and it's real."
