ITV 's new psychological thriller The Sister launched tonight and the first episode has left viewers "freaked out".
One fan cried that they were "too scared" to stay home alone as they tuned in to the pilot of the new thriller which stars Russell Tovey as a creepy man called Bob who has many mysteries surrounding him.
The first five minutes alone were so creepy that fans immediately rushed to their Twitter accounts to share their thoughts.
One wrote: "Blinkin hek. I'm scared #TheSister."
A second said: "Just watching @russelltovey in #TheSister It’s really good but I’m scared already."
"A little bit freaked out watching this on my own #TheSister," said another.
"That just freaked me. Already gripped #TheSister," wrote one viewer.
The four-part drama will spread across four nights this week on the channel until Thursday.
It's promised to be full of murder, horror, ghosts, and deception.
Starring Flesh and Blood actor Russell, The Sister is based on Luther creator Neil Cross’ book, Burial.
The four hour-long episodes follow the story of Tovey's character Nathan who is literally being haunted by his past.
It kicks off with a figure from his past, a creepy man called Bob, arriving at his home to tell him that builders are digging up a forest from their past – something which majorly stresses Nathan out.
Fans were then given a bit more information, learning that the pair's tension has something to do with a girl called Elsie's disappearance.
Towards the end of the episode spooked fans were left even more frightened when ghosts started appearing in the show.
One tweeted: "A ghost oh FFS that's the end of that #TheSister."
The Sister continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV.
