Former Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan shared his annoyance after Anton du Beke was paired with former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith.
Viewers of the hit BBC series tuned into BBC One on Saturday night to find out which celeb was paired with which professional dancer in a special pre-recorded episode.
However, despite being pleased with some of the couplings such as EastEnders starlet Maisie Smith and Gorka Marquez they accused the producers of being 'predictable' with Anton and Jacqui.
Former Strictly pro James Jordan tweeted: "Jacqui and Anton - predictable.
"I love Anton but it’s the same thing another year. #Strictly."
The outspoken dancer added: "She seems lovely but I’m not expecting too much.
"She looks a bit better than Teresa May though Thumbs up."
Meanwhile, one fan moaned: "Anton and Jacqui," before adding a shocked face and rolling eyes emoji.
"It’s really boring now. Who knew that Jacqui Smith would be paired with Anton? #Strictly," a second added.
A third continued: "#Strictly Jacqui and Anton not a surprise but they will get on well."
"Poor Jacqui. She’s been mugged off here. Anton is the worst partner EVER. Even Neil would have been better," a fourth hit out.
A fifth chimed in: "Can’t say I’m surprised at Jacqui and Anton but I’m really enjoying Anton's hair choice for this year #Strictly."
The first of the live Strictly Come Dancing shows kicks off next Saturday October 24.
This year for the first time ever the hit show will include a same-sex couple.
Sports star Nicola Adams has been paired with Katya Jones.
Katya had previously spoken publicly about wanting to be in a same-sex coupling.
She told The Sunday Mirror: "I would love to dance with a woman on the show.
"I think creatively it would be really interesting and I love coming up with new ideas for stuff.
"So on that side I think it would be quite interesting."
